Under the wing of Richard Atkinson were NCE Dreigiau. The team played some very hard fought football who had some golden chances to score their first goal of the day. However it just wasn’t meant to be. The best result of the day, came where Piotr, who played in goal, had to makes some valuable saves in key areas as well as our super defenders Efi and Willow that worked hard to keep the scores level. Striker Lui nearly pulled off a winner with a fine strike, that just screamed past the near post. The score remain 0-0.

Man of the Match for Dreigiau was Efi Atkinson. She put her body on the line several times, disrupted play, as well as made some creative play that brought the team out of trouble many times.

Zoe Atkinson with NCE Dragons, had some better results today. In-form Rocco scored 9 goals, with others banging in several more goals between them. The team worked very well as a team and because of their perseverance and skill, Won 3 and Lost 3. Keepers Alfie and Glyn, played really good games today and made some excellent saves. some solid performances from Guto and Olly who put some great challenges that pulled the team together to help them take some excellent wins against some very good teams.

Man of the match, was local Emlyn boy Rocco Hamilton, who bossed it today with some spectacular goals and quality assists. An excellent all round performance; individually and being a team player, with quality on and off the ball.

Well played U10’s. You have done your coach and parents proud today. Lots of work to do, but so many more positives today. Thank you parents for your support in this bitter weather, it was cold for the little ones, but alot more colder for you. The weather conditions were not forgiving, which made it very difficult day in Cardigan.
